Food: Its got to be a decent steak with boiled potatoes and cabbage salad with my families special dressing, now that I say it, it doesn't sound very appetizing but it's always what I look forward to coming back from a trip!
Quiet Place: The ultimate quiet place for me is at Lake Waikaremoana, its my favorite place in the world. I usually don't get to go there very often so going to the track and digging or fixing jumps is my go to place.
Book: Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell was a book I got a lot of inspiration and motivation from.
Quote: “The way to find out about happiness is to keep your mind on those moments when you feel most happy, when you are really happy — not excited, not just thrilled, but deeply happy. This requires a little bit of self-analysis. What is it that makes you happy? Stay with it, no matter what people tell you. This is what is called following your bliss.” by Joseph Campbell from the film Finding Joe. An amazing film that I really related to.
Holiday: Christmas! It's one of the only times the entire family get together and appreciate it more every year.
Thing to do with friends: Riding bikes! Riding at the track or dirt jumps. Or swimming at the lakes jumping off high things.
Thing to do with family: Going to Lake Waikaremoana to camp. I went for about the first 13 years of my life before BMX took over and we have been not as often but it's still one of my favorite places in the world to visit and spend the week at!
Thing to conquer boredom: I love listening to music and discovering new stuff. I follow a bunch of music blogs and always looking out for new music for my training playlists. I also spend a bit too much time playing with my cats who are more like dogs. The like to play games and hide around the house and playfully attack me and ends up being a game of hide and seek with me and the cats... haha.
Career Moment: Making my first World Cup final in Canada 2012 is my favorite career moment. It was one of those days where everything went my way and every move I made worked out. I remember warming down after my semi final and went around the corner and just starting yelling and screaming from my excitement. It had been a rough year of let downs and terrible results so to pull that out showed me that I wasn't wasting my time and going to stick to my dream.
