The Sports awards in Gisborne have been, pleased to say that BMX did extremely well with my dad winning Coach of the year, Gisborne BMX club winning Club of the year and myself I won the Junior Sportsman of the year. But something that took me by surprise was wining overall sportsperson of the year (not that my speech sounded it haha), with such names as Hosea Gear and Brendan O’Connor I just thought I would be in there just for nominations but I won it so that was pretty cool that bmx is being recognized.  Got to wear Suit again and do speeches in front of reasonable size crowd and get a photo with the Mayor haha, plus a hell of a lot of photos for the paper. Flying out to America in the morning, its 12 30am now and leaving to Auckland in about 8 hours and still haven’t packed, hmmm good sleep on the plane for me I think.
