Got selected to be in Tairawhiti Rising Legends again this year. It is a local group of elite athletes fro 14-18 in Gisborne to help out with costs and issues faced with living in Gisborne. They helped me hugely last year and Is good to be in it again to help out alot financially too.

Last weekend was the UCI race in Auckland, I decided to make racing  easier for the junior men by faceplanting the Corner Jump in Practice and wasting leg and head. Helmet snapped and Neck Brace took the impact, If I wasn't wearing my neck brace I would of definitely came of alot worse than what I did. I was wearing a leatt brace  I highly recommend riding with one.
If your wondering why I was making fishlike  movements in the air, I got weird pop off the lip and could feel my bike going further and further forward so it was my version of the panic rev to move my bike to try save myself a bit(probably didnt) haha.

I rode on Sunday, my leg was still real weak but I wanted to ride, most of all prove to myself that I can actually do these jumps. Got berm jump done really easy which pissed me off so much because that's all I had to do on saturday.  Made Final, Had real good lane, but with my leg still not 100percent my gate was slow and I had to rely on track speed to catch up, I got cut off on gate and slid down the gate. Got up and hit corner jump anyway and ended up 4th so wasn't to bad.
Track was sick though and well done to Tony for pulling it off, Going to be some sick riding at Nats! Bring it.

Rotorua flats meet on Sunday, going to be fun. Im going to stay on my bike this time for sure.
